TEMPLE, TX (November 25, 2024) – The City of Temple will implement temporary road closures as part of the ongoing Bird Creek Interceptor Sanitary Sewer Project. These closures will take place during the week of December 2, 2024, to facilitate necessary construction activities. Detours and flaggers will be in place to ensure traffic is directed safely around the work zones.
The closures are scheduled as follows:
- Bonham Avenue: One-lane access with flaggers directing traffic. This closure is expected to last approximately one day.
- Westwood Road: Closed to thru traffic between the southwest and northwest corners. Detours will be provided, and the closure is expected to last approximately two days.
- Hill Top Apartments Easement: A moving closure will occur within the easement area, with detours in place. This closure is expected to last one day.
- Birdcreek Drive: Closed-to-thru traffic between Las Cienega Blvd and Brooklawn Dr. Local traffic access, including to the cul-de-sacs at El Capitan Dr and Daniels Dr, will be maintained. This closure is expected to last one day for road paving activities.
Access for residents will be maintained throughout the project.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve essential infrastructure for our community.
