This new grant program aims to promote investment in Temple's Neighborhood Planning Districts.
TEMPLE, TX (January 6, 2025) – The City of Temple is accepting applications for the Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program, adopted by City Council to promote residential investment and stimulate business and commercial activity in the Neighborhood Planning Districts.
The Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program offers matching funds for both residential and non-residential properties within the City’s Neighborhood Planning Districts and Corridors. Funding is available for eligible activities associated with new construction, rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and accessory dwelling units.
“We are excited about this new grant program, as it encourages economic investment in the Neighborhood Planning Districts,” said Assistant City Manager Erin Smith. “With the resources we have available, we can assist owners and lessees with property enhancements in our neighborhoods and bring new vitality to the areas our residents and businesses call home.”
Grant recipients are eligible for a maximum grant award of $10,000, with aid provided through financial reimbursement once the project is complete. Funding is available for the 2025 fiscal year and applications will remain open until all funds are distributed.
Applications are available online and will be reviewed by city staff once submitted.
