Temporary lane closures set to begin April 21
TEMPLE, TX (April 15, 2025) – UPDATE: Ongoing construction of this project will soon include two stages of temporary lane closures and detours on East Ave H beginning April 21, 2025. The estimated duration of these closures is two weeks with completion currently anticipated for May 5, 2025.
The first stage will close eastbound lanes using westbound lanes for two-way traffic for approximately one week. South 18th Street will be closed to right and left turns with detours in place during this stage. The second stage will close westbound lanes using eastbound lanes for two-way traffic for the following week. South 18th Street and South 20th Street will be closed to right and left turns with detours in place during this stage.
South Knob Street and South 22nd Street can be utilized to navigate around these closures.
Mclean Construction will continue to work with residence, trash, and mail services during this time frame. There will be limited traffic flow and access at times as construction takes place on South 18th Street.

TEMPLE, TX (March 28, 2025) – UPDATE: Ongoing construction of this project will soon include lane closures and temporary detours on E Avenue H beginning Tuesday, April 1 and lasting through Tuesday, April 8. This closure will replace the previous daily lane closure that was set in place on March 17.
The two eastbound lanes of E Avenue H will be closed, and the westbound lanes will become two-way traffic starting at South Henderson Street extending east to South 22nd Street. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times. The southern portion of the intersections with South 18th Street will be closed and South 20th Street will be closed to westbound traffic.
Traffic will be detoured onto South Knob Street and South 22nd Street for access using Heritage Street to navigate these closures.
Mclean Construction will continue to work with residences, trash, and mail services during this time frame.

Closure Map: E Ave H eastbound lanes will be closed and westbound lanes will become two way traffic from S Henderson St to S 22nd St
TEMPLE, TX (March 13, 2025) – UPDATE: As construction continues on this project, a temporary daily lane closure and detour near South 18th Street are set to begin March 17. These are anticipated to stay in place through April 21.
East Bound Avenue H will decrease to one lane as it approaches South 18th Street and increase back to two lanes once it passes South 18th Street. South 18th Street will be closed from Heritage Street to East Avenue H, allowing local traffic only. This will be a daily closure from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
There will be limited traffic flow and access at times as construction takes place; however, Mclean Construction will work with residences, trash, and mail services during this time frame.

Closure Map: A temporary lane closure and detour will be in place on S 18th St
TEMPLE, TX (January 21, 2025) – Ongoing construction of the Knob Creek Trunk Sewer project will soon include temporary detours set to begin January 28, 2025, on South Knob Street and South 18th Street. The estimated duration of these detours is 6-8 weeks with an estimated completion in mid-March 2025.
South 18th Street will be closed allowing local traffic only with moving closure progressing with construction and limited traffic flow at times depending on construction onsite. Mclean Construction will work with residence, trash, and mail services during this time frame. South Knob Street will be closed south of East Avenue I to the existing dead end with local traffic only. There will be limited traffic flow and access at times as construction takes place in the roadway.
Drivers should use caution in the area and pay attention to all traffic control devices.
