Ceremony to be held on Wednesday, February 19
TEMPLE, TX (February 12, 2025) – The City of Temple is excited to invite the community to the 4th Annual Black History Month Ceremony. This event will celebrate and honor Temple’s Black leaders, business owners, and city employees, while also recognizing the significance of this month as a time to reflect, unite, and celebrate as a community.
WHAT: 4th Annual Black History Month Ceremony
WHEN: Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 10 a.m.
WHERE: Frank W. Mayborn Civic & Convention Center, located at 3303 N 3rd St.
“The City of Temple hosts the Black History Month Event each year to honor the contributions of our African American leaders and community members who have shaped Temple’s history,” said Mayor Tim Davis. “We use the time together to celebrate the impact, recognized the achievements, and hopefully, inspire future generations as we all work together for the betterment of Temple.”
The Black History Month Ceremony will include a proclamation presented to the NAACP as well as speeches from special guests. This event is open to the public, and no RSVP is required.
