Temporary traffic shift set to begin February 27
TEMPLE, TX (February 20, 2026) – UPDATE: As construction progresses on this project, construction crews will be shifting traffic control devices at the intersection of South Pea Ridge and Hogan Road beginning Friday, February 27. This shift is estimated to remain in place through March 31.
As part of this shift, eastbound traffic along Hogan Road will be temporarily restricted. Several detour routes will be available, and drivers should use caution in the area and pay attention to all signage and traffic control devices.

TEMPLE, TX (August 22, 2025) – UPDATE: As construction progresses on this project, construction crews will be closing a portion of Hogan Road beginning Monday, August 25. This closure is expected to remain in place through September 18.
During this time, eastbound traffic along Hogan Road, from South Pea Ridge Road to Rolling Brook Drive, will be rerouted, and only westbound traffic will be allowed through that section.
The South Pea Ridge Road northbound lane closure is still in place.

TEMPLE, TX (February 28, 2025) – As the city works on Phase 5 of the South Pea Ridge Road Improvements project, construction crews will be closing the northbound lane of South Pea Ridge Road from Hogan Road to Purvis Street and the eastbound lane of Hogan Road from South Pea Ridge to Rolling Brook Drive beginning Friday, March 7. This closure is anticipated to last approximately 5 months.
Several detours will be available including via Old Waco Road and Tarver Drive. Drivers should use caution in the area and pay attention to all signage and traffic control devices.
