Temporary closure and traffic diversion set to begin July 14
TEMPLE, TX (July 10, 2025) – UPDATE: As construction continues on this project, crews will be closing the entrance to the Windcrest Subdivision at the intersection of Poison Oak Road and Old Waco Road beginning July 14. This temporary closure is estimated to last through October 20.
Traffic will be detoured via Golden Heart Drive and South Pea Ridge Road, which provides multiple entry connections for the subdivision. The previously closed Hogan Road intersection will be reopened on July 14, and Old Waco Road will remain open to through traffic.
Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout this duration of construction, and driveways will continue to be accessible.

TEMPLE, TX (March 12, 2025) – Ongoing reconstruction of Old Waco Road will result in a temporary road closure at Hogan Road from Old Waco Road to Soap Rock Lane beginning Monday, March 17. This closure is estimated to last through July 15, 2025.
Detours for Hogan Road will be available via Tarver Drive and South Pea Ridge Road. North and south bound Old Waco Road traffic will utilize newly paved northbound lanes, with lanes shifting at the intersection with Tarver and back onto existing Old Waco Road.
Driveways will remain accessible throughout this closure, and drivers should use caution in the area and pay attention to all traffic control devices.
