TEMPLE, TX (May 30, 2025) – Celebrate the start of the Temple Public Library's 2025 Summer Reading Program with a party at the library on Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
This free, family-friendly event will feature games, bounce houses, snow cones, giveaways, and activities for all ages. There will also be a live performance by children's musician Staci Gray, who will take the stage from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. The fun will fill all three floors of the library and spill into the parking lot, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
The Summer Reading Program provides a variety of initiatives for children, teens, and adults. Each age group has different incentives and prizes for reading a certain amount of books or logging reading time. Party attendees can sign up on-site, pick up a Summer Reading Guide, and learn how to earn rewards for their summer reads.
In addition to the reading program, the library will host a variety of free events throughout the summer. Highlights include Sock Monkey Circus, The Singing Zoologist, musical storytelling with Lucas Miller, a magic show by Oscar Munoz, and exciting experiments from Mad Science. Adults can also enjoy programs such as Painting with Suzanna, Crafterpalooza, and English Garden Tea.
