TEMPLE, TX (May 30, 2025) – The Temple Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault that injured three people.
At around 3:47 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, officers responded after hearing shots being fired in the 800 block of E French Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located individuals departing the area in vehicles and on foot. Witnesses reported that there was a physical altercation, which resulted in an individual firing a weapon. Officers were unable to locate any victims at the scene.
Contact was made with two victims later at a local hospital. These victims appeared to have injuries related to a physical confrontation. Their injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
At around 5:40 a.m., a gunshot victim presented at a nearby urgent care facility. Their injury is non-life-threatening and consists of an injury to an elbow.
This case is under investigation, and no other information will be released at this time.
