TEMPLE, TX (June 4, 2025) – The Temple Police Department has identified the victim as 64-year-old Jeannette Kay Young from Temple, TX, who unfortunately has passed away due to her injuries.
TEMPLE, TX (June 2, 2025) – The Temple Police Department is investigating a traffic accident that left one individual in life-threatening condition.
At around 9:21 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Research Parkway and the 6600 block of Prairie View Road for a traffic accident involving a vehicle and a bicyclist. Upon arrival, officers witnessed bystanders rendering aid to the bicyclist, and EMS then took over, continuing to render aid. Officers learned the individual on the bicycle was traveling eastbound and potentially failed to stop at a stop sign. A vehicle traveling southbound collided with the bicyclist.
The Temple Police Department Traffic Reconstruction Unit was dispatched and began an investigation into the incident. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene for questioning.
One individual was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition.
