TEMPLE, TX (September 29, 2025) – The Temple Police Department’s Victim Services Unit will be hosting the third annual Donation Drive-Thru to acknowledge Domestic Violence Awareness Month and collect donations for local family violence shelters, programs, and organizations.

WHEN: Thursday, October 23rd, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
WHERE: City Parking Lot #10, located next to the Temple Police Department at 209 E Avenue A, Temple, TX 76501
Please join the Temple Police Department Victim Services Unit at our third annual Donation Drive-Thru event from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on October 23, 2025. In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we will be collecting items needed the most on behalf of our amazing community partners: Aware Central Texas, Families in Crisis, Hilltop Recovery Ministries, and Priceless Beginnings.
Most Needed items:
- Diapers size 4, 5, 6, and 7
- New towels/washcloths
- Blank motivational journals
- HOP bus passes
- Air mattresses (Queen or Full)
- Canned goods, non-perishable food items, dog food, and HEB or Walmart gift cards
- New hygiene products, sanitary supplies, laundry detergent, and cleaning supplies
- New women’s deodorant, ethnic hair care products, and combs
- New toothbrushes, toothpaste, full-sized shampoo, full-sized conditioner, and body wash
- New women's and children’s sports bras, underwear, leggings, socks, t-shirts, sweaters, winter gloves, and hats
- New men’s socks, t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and underwear
- Duffle bags
Temple Police Department Victim Services will also be accepting cell phones and cell phone chargers to be used for 9-1-1 cell phone distribution as well.
