Completed Downtown City Center Project

Let's Talk Temple! After years of planning and collaboration, the City of Temple has completed the Downtown City Center Project, transforming Central Avenue from 2nd to 6th Street with improved infrastructure, pedestrian spaces, and vibrant new connections.

From the revitalized Hawn Hotel and Arcadia Theater to the new parking garage on 4th Street, this project marks a major milestone in Temple’s vision for a more walkable, thriving downtown.

Join us this Friday, November 7, at 6 p.m. at East Central Avenue and South 2nd Street as we celebrate the completion of this project with a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony. Then stick around to continue the evening with live music and First Friday festivities.
