TEMPLE, TX (November 26, 2025) – The City of Temple is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction on the next phase of the Public Safety Training Center.

The next phase of the Public Safety Training Center will add vital resources to support advanced training for first responders, including a Temple Police Department classroom building, a modern shooting range with storage, and a secure space for K-9 training.
This expansion also includes a dedicated defensive tactics area and planned space for virtual reality training, ensuring state-of-the-art instruction that strengthens safety across our community.
Investing in high-quality training environments directly supports the work first responders do every day to keep our residents safe. This public safety campus provides the tools, technology, and space they need to grow their skills and continue delivering exceptional service.
