City of Temple to Host 79th Annual Christmas Parade

TEMPLE, TX (November 24, 2025) – The City of Temple invites the community to celebrate the 79th Annual Christmas Parade, a signature event within the city’s month-long Holly Jolly holiday celebration. This beloved tradition brings thousands together each year for an evening filled with festive spirit, glowing lights, and holiday joy in Downtown Temple.

This year’s parade theme, “A Lone Star Christmas,” celebrates Texas pride and the traditions that make our community shine bright each holiday season.

WHAT: 79th Annual Christmas Parade

WHEN: Monday, December 1, 2025

6:30 p.m. – Parade Begins
7:20 p.m. – Santa Begins His Arrival Down W. Adams Ave.

WHERE: The parade will begin at the intersection of E. Adams Avenue and N. 8th Street, travel west along Adams Avenue, and conclude at Temple High School, located at 415 N. 31st Street. Spectators may enjoy street-side viewing along the entire route. Seating is first-come, first-served, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring chairs or blankets for comfort.

ROAD CLOSURES: Road closures will be in effect to support parade operations.

4:00 p.m. – N. 8th St. closed from Adams Ave. to Garfield St.
4:00 p.m. – N. 6th St. closed from Adams Ave. to Calhoun Ave.
5:30 p.m. – E. Adams Ave. closed from N. 8th St. to N. 23rd St.

All roads will reopen immediately after the parade. Detours will be implemented, and access will be maintained for nearby residents and businesses. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and follow posted traffic control signage.

PARKING: Free parking will be available at the City Hall parking lot and multiple locations throughout Downtown Temple, including Santa Fe Plaza, the 1st Street Parking Garage, and non-parade-route street parking areas.
