TEMPLE, TX (December 29, 2025) – The City of Temple is reminding residents to welcome the new year safely by celebrating without the bang. Selling, possessing, and/or setting off fireworks is illegal within Temple city limits.
Fireworks can have a negative impact on individuals with PTSD, cause injury to people of all ages, and damage property. Additionally, fireworks can scare animals, causing an increase in lost pet reports.
Residents may pick up yard signs to help spread awareness that fireworks are illegal within city limits at the following locations:
- City Hall - 2 N Main St
- Temple Utility Billing Office - 401 N 3rd St
