TEMPLE, TX (December 27, 2025) – The Temple Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault that left one individual injured.
At around 5:31 a.m., on Saturday, December 27, officers were dispatched to S 47th Street and W Avenue Z for a disturbance/fight in the street. The caller advised to dispatch that multiple gunshots were heard during the disturbance and that several individuals fled the area in vehicles. Officers responded by canvassing the area for the involved vehicles while additional officers secured the scene of the disturbance. The officers at the dispatch location located multiple shell casings, a residence, and a vehicle that had been hit. The other officers located one of the suspect vehicles nearby.
One individual was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
