TEMPLE, TX (January 6, 2026) – The City of Temple is hosting the annual Neighborhood Leadership Academy to provide residents with the opportunity to learn more about city processes and ways to be involved within their neighborhood and the community.
WHAT: 2026 Neighborhood Leadership Academy
WHEN: Saturday, February 21, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
WHERE: Temple College Workforce & Visual Arts Building, located at 2600 S 1st St
The workshop will feature guest speakers and informative sessions focusing on each of the City’s key departments, shedding light on their roles and functions within the community. Participants can look forward to gaining valuable insights into the various services offered by these departments and understanding how they contribute to the overall well-being of the community.
We believe that informed and empowered communities are the backbone of a thriving city. This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to actively contribute to the betterment of their neighborhoods.

Registration is now open, and those interested in participating are encouraged to secure their spots before the deadline on Tuesday, February 10.
