Temporary road closures will be in place beginning February 9
TEMPLE, TX (February 3, 2026) – The City of Temple will implement temporary road closures beginning Monday, February 9, through Thursday, February 12, to accommodate a Police Department chiller installation project.
During this time, portions of E Avenue A and S 6th Street will be closed to traffic. These closures are necessary to allow for crane setup and equipment loading and unloading.
Public access to the Temple Police Department’s main lobby will remain open throughout the project. However, parking spaces directly in front of the building will be unavailable during the closure period. Visitors are encouraged to use supplemental public parking located to the west of the facility.
Drivers should use caution when traveling in the area and follow any posted detour signage.
