TEMPLE, TX (February 10, 2026) – The Temple Police Department is investigating a traffic accident that left one individual deceased.
At around 12:32 p.m., on Tuesday, February 10, officers were dispatched to the area of I35 northbound exit 305. Upon arrival, officers learned a vehicle traveling northbound and occupied by a single occupant struck a concrete pillar.
One individual has been pronounced deceased on scene by Justice of the Peace Larry Wilkey. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
The Temple Police Department Traffic Unit will be on scene investigating. During this time, all lanes of travel northbound I35 will be shut down for several hours. Please exit I35 at exit 304, or use an alternate route if you need to travel through this area.
