There are no changes to current downtown parking rules, and there is no paid parking program in effect. To be clear, parking meters were never part of this plan.
Signage installation did begin this week; however, it was installed prematurely and is now being removed. Nothing currently impacts how you park downtown today. Our goal is to increase visitation to downtown, not create barriers for residents, businesses, or visitors.
As future phases of the long-term parking plan are considered, the community will be informed well in advance with clear, direct communication. Public feedback will be an important part of the review process, and we will seek input from downtown business owners, residents, employees, and visitors to ensure any future decisions reflect the needs of those most impacted.
