Survey to remain open through May 4
TEMPLE, TX (March 30, 2026) – The City of Temple is inviting community members to share their input on the future of the State Highway 317 corridor through a community survey. The survey is available online in both English and Spanish through Monday, May 4, at templetx.gov/317survey.
State Highway 317, which runs north to south along the west side of Temple, plays a key role in the city’s growth, connectivity, and overall image. To support continued development, the city is creating the SH 317 Corridor Master Plan, which will establish a long-term vision focused on economic growth, improved connectivity, and enhanced visual appeal.
Feedback collected from the survey will contribute to recommendations that may include land use, roadway access, signage, lighting, landscaping, and overall development patterns.
"This survey is an important step in shaping how this corridor grows in the future. Community input will help guide decisions that reflect the needs and priorities of Temple residents."
Erin Smith, City of Temple Assistant City Manager
The results of the survey will be used to guide the corridor plan that will ultimately be presented to Temple City Council for consideration and adoption.
