TEMPLE, TX (April 14, 2026) — UPDATE: Due to recent heavy rainfall and continued inclement weather in the forecast, the Earth Day event has been canceled.
The event site is unable to safely accommodate activities at this time, and this decision was made with the safety of participants, vendors, and staff in mind. We appreciate the community’s interest and support, as well as the efforts of those who helped plan and promote the event.
The city looks forward to future opportunities to celebrate Earth Day with the community.
TEMPLE, TX (April 2, 2026) — The City of Temple invites residents of all ages to celebrate sustainability and community at its upcoming Earth Day event, featuring family-friendly activities focused on eco-friendly living, conservation, and beautification efforts across the city.
WHAT: Earth Day Event
COST: Free and open to the public
WHEN: Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHERE: Elizabeth’s Farm, located at 7445 FM 2086
Earth Day is designed to bring together community partners and residents to learn simple, practical ways to live more sustainably while helping keep Temple clean, green, and thriving. Attendees can explore a variety of interactive and educational experiences that highlight environmental stewardship and local resources.
Guests can look forward to:
- Vendor Booths, including a farmers market, arts and crafts and plant sales
- Hands-on kids activities focused on nature and sustainability
- Animals and family-friendly attractions
- Opportunities to connect with community organizations dedicated to environmental efforts
The event aims to educate and inspire residents to take small steps that collectively make a big impact on the community’s environment and quality of life.
