TEMPLE, TX (August 13, 2026) – Amanda was safely located by the Temple Police Department at approximately 7:15 a.m. today. She was transported to a local hospital for precautionary evaluation.
TEMPLE, TX (August 12, 2026) – The Temple Police Department has activated an Endangered Missing Persons Alert for 28-year-old Amanda Durkee from Temple, TX.
At approximately 2:48 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, officers responded to the 600 block of South 15th Street regarding a high-risk missing adult. Officers learned that 28-year-old Amanda Durkee left her home shortly after 2:15 p.m. and had not returned. Amanda has an intellectual disability and is considered high-risk.
Amanda is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 140 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and a blue skirt.
Officers immediately began searching the area on foot, in patrol vehicles, with K9 trackers, and with drones. Officers are currently in the community searching for Amanda. The Temple Police Department has also requested an Endangered Missing Persons Alert through the Texas Department of Public Safety.
If you see Amanda, do not approach her. Call 911 immediately and provide her location and direction of travel.
