The City of Temple’s "Tree for Me" program gives Temple residents the opportunity to receive a free tree to plant at their home
TEMPLE, TX (October 1, 2026) – The City of Temple is happy to announce that the Parks & Recreation Department's "Tree for Me" program has returned. "Tree for Me" focuses on beautifying our city and making green space improvements accessible to residents.
"Tree for Me" was last held in 2020, then put on hold after sequential severe weather led to the loss of trees at Doshier Tree Farm.
'Tree for Me' has been well received in years past, and we are excited to bring the program back this year. We hope that residents take advantage of this year's program to help beautify their neighborhood and connect with nature.
Lee Bullock, Parks Division Director
