The National Community Survey (NCS) gathers resident input for strategic planning initiatives and aligns goals around the community’s top priorities
TEMPLE, TX (January 2, 2026) - The City of Temple is launching a community-wide resident survey to gather feedback on city services and overall quality of life. Results from the survey will help ensure future decisions reflect what matters most to Temple residents.
The survey provides residents with an opportunity to share their perspectives on how the City of Temple is performing today and where improvements are needed moving forward.

“Community input is essential to effective planning and decision-making. This survey allows us to hear directly from our residents, understand their priorities, and use that feedback to shape Temple’s future.”
City Manager Brynn Myers
The National Community Survey (NCS), developed by Polco’s National Research Center, collects feedback on a wide range of topics, including the local economy, transportation and mobility, community design, utilities, safety, natural environment, inclusivity, civic engagement, and overall livability. Survey results will highlight Temple’s strengths, identify opportunities for improvement, and allow the city to compare its performance with similar communities nationwide.
Beginning January 8, 2026, randomly selected households will receive mailed survey invitations that include instructions on how to participate. Following this initial phase, the survey will be opened to all Temple residents on February 5, allowing anyone in the community to provide input through a specified link on the city's website. Data collection closes on February 19.

“We encourage all residents to take part in the survey when it becomes available. The more voices we hear, the better equipped we are to make informed decisions that serve the entire community.”
City of Temple Mayor Tim Davis
