TEMPLE, TX (July 28, 2026) – The Temple Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run fatality crash that left one individual deceased.
At around 12:07 a.m. on Sunday, July 26, officers were dispatched to the 5300 block of Charter Oak Drive for a hit-and-run crash. Upon arrival, officers located an individual who had been struck by a vehicle. Officers immediately began providing lifesaving measures until EMS arrived on scene and assumed patient care. Preliminary information indicates the victim was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Charter Oak Drive.
The victim, identified as 25-year-old Alexandria Rodriguez, was transported to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries. No other injuries have been reported.
The Temple Police Department Traffic Unit is asking the public for assistance to help identify the driver involved in the hit-and-run.
The Temple Police Department Traffic Unit is actively investigating the crash and is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the driver involved. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through Crime Stoppers. This is an active investigation, and no other information will be released at this time.
