Event to be held on Saturday, October 11
TEMPLE, TX (October 3, 2025) – In observance of National Fire Prevention Month, Temple Fire and Rescue (TFR) will host its annual Fire Safety Day to educate the community about fire safety and the importance of fire prevention.
WHAT: Fire Safety Day
WHEN: Saturday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHERE: Central Fire Station, located at 210 N Third St.
Fire Safety Day will feature rides on the antique Diamond T fire truck, tours of Central Station, pedal kart and impairment goggle demonstrations, and simulations in the fire safety house and rollover convincer. Additionally, children will also have the opportunity to decorate pumpkins to take home with them.

Attendees can also receive safety information on car seats, poison control, and fire extinguishers, as well as make appointments for home smoke alarm assessments and installations. This event is free and open to the public.
