December 6, 2025 (Temple, Texas) - At 4:36pm this afternoon Temple Fire and Rescue responded to a call for a structure fire at a local assisted living facility located at 5320 Loop 205. Upon arrival to Garden Estates of Temple, first arriving crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from an upstairs window on the rear of the facility.

Crews quickly knocked the remaining fire down with hose-lines, as other engine companies simultaneously entered the structure to evacuate occupants. At this time it is unknown how many occupants were evacuated. No injuries have been reported with this incident.
As crews extinguished hotspots, and cleared smoke from the facility, they that most of the fire appeared to be what was in a maintenance supply room, not an actual room of a resident. Within minutes, the fire was called under control, and fully extinguished. Temple fire and rescue responded with 9 apparatus, and 22 personnel. Also on scene was Temple Police Dept, and Temple EMS.
