TEMPLE, TX (December 31, 2025) – Temple Fire and Rescue firefighters responded to the report of a residential structure fire located at 601 N 6th Street in Temple, Texas. Firefighters arrived to find a single-story residential structure with heavy fire and smoke coming from the rear of the structure.
Firefighters quickly verified that no one was in the home and then immediately began extinguishment efforts. This included a direct attack on the fire protecting the neighboring structures as well.
There was one resident who was injured and transported to the hospital. The other residents in the home were able to exit the residence without injury with the assistance of their neighbors. There were no other injuries reported to firefighters.
Temple Fire and Rescue responded with 12 units and 25 personnel. The call was dispatched at 1:03 p.m., and the first Temple fire unit arrived at 1:06 p.m. The fire was declared under control at 1:30 p.m., and the fire was declared out at 1:37 p.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Temple Fire Marshals, anyone with any information on the fire should contact the Temple Fire Marshal office at 254-298-5682.
Temple EMS responded to assist with the care and transport of the residents, as well as monitoring the fire crews. The Temple Police Department responded to assist with traffic and scene control.
