TEMPLE, TX (January 29, 2026) - The City of Temple is inviting residents and community members to share their input as part of the search for the city’s next Police Chief through an online community survey.
The survey provides an opportunity for community members to share their priorities, expectations, and perspectives on leadership for the Temple Police Department. Feedback collected will help Public Sector Search & Consulting (PSSC), the recruiting firm assisting the city, target recruitment efforts and evaluate candidates during the selection process.
“The voices of our residents are essential as we move forward with selecting our next Police Chief. This survey gives our community a direct way to share what matters most to them and helps ensure we identify candidates who align with Temple’s values and priorities. We strongly encourage everyone to take a few minutes to participate.”
Assistant City Manager Shawn Reynolds
The survey is available online only in both English and Spanish and is completely anonymous. Responses will go directly to PSSC and will be used to inform candidate outreach and assessment.
Community participation is an important part of this process, ensuring the city selects a Police Chief who reflects the needs and priorities of Temple residents.
The survey will remain open through Friday, February 20, 2026. To access the survey, click the button below or visit templetx.gov/PDsurvey.
