Early afternoon apartment fires displaces one occupant.
Temple, Texas (March 12, 2026) - Early this afternoon Temple Fire and Rescue was dispatched to the Oakview Apartments for the report of a structure fire. Just before 3:00pm crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the outside of an upstairs apartment. Crews quickly knocked down the flames, and extinguished the blaze.
1 occupant was home at the time of the incident, and was able to evacuate with a family pet, without injury. Crews monitored the residence and adjacent apartments for any fire extension, but the fire had been contained to the single unit.
Temple Fire and Rescue responded with 13 Units, and 31 personnel. Also on scene were Temple Police Department, and Temple EMS. The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
