Parade to be held on Monday, December 1
TEMPLE, TX (September 15, 2025) – The City of Temple is now accepting applications for the 79th Annual Christmas Parade, set to take place on Monday, December 1, at 6:30 p.m. in Downtown Temple.
This year’s theme, “A Lone Star Christmas,” invites participants to showcase their creativity with festive displays, original designs, bright lighting, and music. All entries must reflect either a holiday theme or the designated parade theme and should not be commercial in nature.
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. To participate, applicants must read the Rules and Regulations, complete an online application at templetxevents.com, pay the entry fee, and sign a waiver of liability.
All entries are eligible to be judged and compete for prizes, though participation in judging is optional. Additionally, for the safety of attendees and participants, pets are not allowed.
The entry fee for commercial and retail businesses is $70. All other entries, including residents, churches, private schools, non-profit organizations, service clubs, and professional organizations, are $40. Tax-supported entities such as public schools, military, and Police & Fire Departments may enter at no cost unless they wish to be judged, in which case a $40 judging fee will apply. Please note that all entry fees are non-refundable, and additional fees may apply.
Entries may also request one additional 40-foot space for $40. Space is limited to a maximum of two total spaces (80 feet). Any entry requiring more than 80 feet must contact parade organizers directly to discuss accommodations.
Applications close Tuesday, October 28, at 5 p.m. To submit an application, visit templetxevents.com before the deadline.
