Temporary road closure and detour set to begin April 27
TEMPLE, TX (April 20, 2026) - Ongoing construction of Outer Loop North Phase III will soon include a temporary detour and closure of Hart Road, between Pegasus Drive and the I-35 southbound frontage road, beginning Monday, April 27. This closure is estimated to remain in place through June 26, 2026.
Hart Road reconstruction will require the following temporary traffic closures and detours:
- Full closure of Hart Road from Pegasus Drive to I-35 southbound frontage road
- Driveway access will be maintained to QT and Lucky’s RV Park from I-35 southbound frontage road
- Full closure of Pegasus Drive from north of Hart Road to north of Moore’s Mill Road
- Pegasus Drive to be closed to through traffic only from Clarence Road to the ǪT driveway
- Pegasus Drive to be closed to through traffic only from Kevin Reilly Lane to Moore’s Mill Road
Drivers should use caution in the area and pay attention to all traffic control devices.
